Moving in together before marriage? Okay so I’m in a 2 year relationship and it might be too early to think about it (I’m 19) but I was wondering what other people’s experience or opinions are🤗

So I personally think it’s a bad idea. YOU’RE NOT GETTING THIS MILK FOR FREE WITHOUT PURCHASING THE COW 🙄
I haven’t talked about this topic with him yet but I think he wants to live together like right after college😂 the thing is I believe marriage is 2 become 1 so what’s the point of taking the role of a wife for free but it’s not official. So he can just walk away if he wants to because he hasn’t promised me anything and then he wouldn’t make an effort on making me his wife. And if he says it would be financially better I’ll just say that he can get a roommate 🤨

You never know who they are until you live with them. 
They could be a total slop, drunk, drug addict, or they could be the perfect person.

I would think... If you believe he is only moving in with you to get "a free wife" then you should probably move on. No matter how much you THINK you know someone people act differently in their own environment when they are relaxed. There was a guy on here posting looking for advice awhile ago because his girlfriend of a few years moved in together and it's only then that he realized she showered once a month if that. You just never know.

My husband moved in with me 3 months before our wedding because he had to be out of where he was living so it was just easier to have him move in with me. But we’d been engaged for almost a year and had already set a wedding date and had most things ready. He probably wouldn’t have moved in with me if we hadn’t been engaged

What’s the point of being stuck in a marriage once you’ve discovered that you aren’t compatible as roommates? I condone premarital sex and cohabitation because it’s better to know before signing legal documents then it is to know after the fact. It’s really for both of your own piece of mind. I could never marry someone that I don’t know, never had sex with, or have never witnessed their routine.

I personally believe that living together before marriage is a great thing! What if you live together and you hate it? You find out A LOT of things by living with someone that you may not have already known about. You’ll be able to find out if you can actually live with and see the person 24/7.

Moving in together can really help you determine if you guys can really co habitat together well. I moved in with my boyfriend after a year of dating and it solidified our relationship’s strength. You really learn who the other person is and their living habits. I say go for it

All good. We knew each other quite well and we knew we were compatible before getting married which I personally think is vital and important for a marriage.
