Introduction to roleplay

Hello all! Are you curious about roleplaying or do you want to gain some inspiration? This is the place.

When I say roleplay, I don’t necessarily mean bedroom roleplay. Yes, that is a type of roleplay, but not the one I’m referring to. Roleplay is when you assume the role of a character (who can be anyone, from a book series, movie, or an original character you thought of), and write a story with that character. Roleplays usually consist of 2+ people, and, like books, can be any genre; romantic, supernatural, sci-fi, fandom based (ie Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Marvel, DC, literally any movie, book, or tv show/series you can think of), etc.

You can pair any character from any fandom/genre together, and that’s called a ship. For example, if I said I ship Fred Weasley and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Most of these ships have names, such as Fredmione.

Essentially, roleplaying is a free for all with your imagination. The possibilities are endless in terms of what stories you can come up with, and it’s a really creative way to explore different sides of yourself. If anyone wants to know more, feel free to message me! 😊
