Help me please.

I went to my doctors about having extremely heavy periods and that I haven’t been on any contraception in over a year. She said it may be polycystic ovaries. She sent me for an ultrasound scan ( 2 days ago ). The scan was showing large red and blue dots. The next day (yesterday) my doctors phoned and said I needed an emergency phone consultation or appointment which is now tomorrow. I am so scared that I am going to get horrible news and was wondering if anyone knows if I should be worried or not.
