At How many weeks did you stop working?

I’m trying to see when i wanted to put my leave in. I’m currently 31 weeks but getting out of the bed and working is beyond tiring. Plus I have alot of back & pelvic pain..

I work as an attorney right across the street from the hospital where I’m having the baby. I plan to just take a “stroll” over to the hospital if I go into labor at work 😂😂😂

This is my first baby, but I have been experiencing extreme back and pelvic pain since approx 23 weeks. I was on sick leave for 6 weeks, which was paid and I went back to work afterwards in hopes of being able to work until about 36 weeks. 
Unfortunately with a 2 hour commute each way, and sitting in the same position for 8+ hours it became almost impossible to function at work. I put my maternity leave application starting at 30 weeks. I have been off for about a week now and it’s amazing. 
It’s different when you have pain but can lay down in bed or on the sofa if you need to. But when your in pain and forced to attend to your job and be stuck in an upright position it can be too much. 
The reasons why I did it was because I could afford to stay home earlier, and my mother will be my sons primary caregiver when I go back to work in 12 months (Canada) so I don’t have the worry of putting my son at 11 months into a daycare with strangers I don’t trust. Also the cost of commuting monthly was approx $600 and that is MORE than what my pay cut will be. I am looking at approx $400 a month difference. So by not going to work I’m actually saving money and being able to enjoy the last 9 weeks of my pregnancy. 
Of course it’s not for everybody. But if you are in pain, uncomfortable and find yourself not being able to function and it makes sense I would stay earlier. Because remember if you push yourself too hard it could also hurt you in the long run.

With my first i worked until 10 days before the due date. Delivered 5 days after I stopped working.

Currently planning on working until I go into labor (I am 32w4d). 
But my job is very physically demanding, and I’ve been having a ton of sciatic nerve pain and pelvic pressure. And I have an ultrasound August 2nd to see where my placenta is because it may be too close to the cervix. So it is kind of up in the air as to when I will get to start leave.

It happen to work out that I stopped working at 6.5 months. I’m an Elementary school teacher so I’m off for the Summer and decided to take the first semester off since I’m due at the start of the year. Otherwise I would have worked until I went into labor.

I’m trying to make it to 35 for school and work. I’m currently in nursing school and doing clinicals at a nursing home. I’m also a cna so doing this for 14 hours a day is exhausting. I hope I can make it. I’m 28 weeks and 3 days now
