Best breast pump blue shield will cover?

Does anyone know what the best breast pump is that blue shield will cover? Also, would you recommend renting one from the hospital? How long do they let you do that? Any other advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I messaged BCBS and for me I had to ask my doctor for a prescription for an electric breast pump. My doctor said she’ll write it up and to let the front desk girls know. The girls told me they’ll put the prescription in with their supplier and the supplier would contact me. They contacted me and emailed me my breast pump options.

Depends on your plan. I would call the number on your insurance card and ask. I have a Spectra S2 and love it but if you have the option to get the S1 it’s a little more convenient because it’s rechargeable.
