Thai Cave Rescue Movie: Trashy or no?

So I'm sure we are all familiar with the Thai boys soccer team being rescued from the cave yesterday. A super crazy miraculous story right? Well today I read an article that a movie studio is already claiming the rights to the story to make a movie, actors are being called and the script drawn up. One day after this is all over! Is it trashy to make movies profiting off of other people's real traumatizing life experiences, especially without their consent, and so soon? The director of the movie is quoted as saying he was touched by the story as it was so inspirational, and wanted to bring that inspiration to movie audiences. Isn't the actual story inspirational enough? Why do we need a movie? What are your thoughts?
