question bc i’m nervous.

so a couple of days before i started my period, i noticed an itchiness in my vagina and i had pain when i was peeing. so i looked it up and it said i might have a yeast infection so of course i started freaking out bc this is my first one. i didn’t go to the doctor to check it out bc here’s the thing;

1. my period came a week late and i was told that i could have an hormonal imbalance.

2. birth control side effects said that it could cause a yeast infection, if that makes sense.

3. i’ve taken this birth control for a couple of months and i’ve never had problems like this.

i’ve stopped taking bc for a 2 months or so, and my mom said it’d be best to wait until after my cycle to determine if i have a yeast infection because my period should cleanse me out. 💁🏽‍♀️ and my girlfriend said it might bc i don’t get enough sleep. idk. i need advice. i was gonna use coconut oil on my vagina bc that’s what the internet said to use for @ home remedies. but every vagina is different. i just need advice. thanks so much .❤️😩
