Ladies! Do you check your own cervix for changes? This can be a hotly debated subject, as some midwives refuse to check during pregnancies. Some ladies are well versed and familiar with safe, sanitary self checking, and some ladies have never tried.

My sister was a midwifes apprentice. She is very familiar with self checking. I have done it a few times to track softening, effacement, and dilation this pregnancy. I keep super short nails, I DO NOT venture inside the cervix, and heavily wash and sanitize hands with Bedadine and rubbing alcohol beforehand and after.
