Do you think that clothing stores should have a uniform measurement system?
So this is something that as I get older I start to feel more and more strongly about. My birthday is in a few days and my mom (who works in NYC) on her way to work saw a beautiful dress in the window of a boutique and immediately texted me asking for my size so she could buy it for me as a present. The issue is that as of late every single store I seem to go to uses something different. H&M; I’m a size 10, Hollister I’m a size S (or 9), Loft size 4, J crew size 6. And so I looked up the store and their measurements and turns out I’m a size 8 bust with a size 6 waist which is truly infuriating.
Anyway, what do y’all think about stores having uniform sizes? Like all 4s everywhere are this bust, hip, waist measurement and so on. I feel like it would definitely make women feel a bit more confident when shopping and honestly just make everyone’s life a little easier.
This is the dress btw.
