with my son, I sat on the edge of the bed and rocked back and forth, eventually was on my hands and knees for the intense part of labor and delivery.

DO NOT just lay in bed on your back. I did that with my first daughter  I got “comfortable” with just laying there and aggressively rocking back and forth. This was not an ideal way to be considering it didn’t allow gravity to help at all! Then when they tried to get me in another position to allow gravity to assist, I didn’t want change! I was set on how I was. So it took me forever. Luckily pushing only took me 10 minutes. This time around I plan to use birthing ball and the shower.
