How much is too much coffee?

Question

Today I felt like my throat was closing. I was also having difficulty breathing and my hands were shaking. 
I’d say two times per month this happens. Today I had four cups of coffee. Could these symptoms be from too much caffeine? I’m not an anxious person. Overall, I’m pretty easy going. I was crying today because of this feeling in my throat. 
This happen to anyone else??

2 cups a day no more. No soda. NO tea none.

You CAN have an overdose of caffeine, some can handle more than others. Sounds like an allergic reaction, and if it's happened before you need to see your doc for allergy testing and go to the ER if you can't breathe

When I’m in school I drink three trenta sized iced coffees a day. I was fine, I was also active (marching band) and slept very little (I have insomnia). You might want to switch your coffee or try tea because it sounds like you might be a) have an allergic reaction to something in the coffee or b) have roughed up your throat a bit from the heat and made it raw. I would go to an urgent care to rule out any infection or allergy just to be safe.

Sounds more like an allergic reaction, perhaps? Time for a doctor's visit, i'd say.
