Sexual harassment?

I was looking at a poll that was asking about sexual harassment. I answered no but the majority had said yes. I was shocked. I thought sexual harassment was like rape but I read the comments and and it can be something like a cat call. That made me feel so uncomfortable. I’m honestly just confused like if I guy says your hot and asks for your number is that sexual harassment?

No.... Cat calling is beyond that. Cat calling is walking down the street and some scrub yelling out the window "damn ma, you look good!" is not attractive, it feels degrading, and it's rude overall. It's not flattering.

Sexual harassment can be someone even touching your arm that you don’t feel comfortable with. There is a very fine line between sexual harassment and normal. If you’re comfortable with it it’s okay if you’re not it can be sexual harassment but the person needs to be informed you don’t like it otherwise they may think you’re okay with it and continue to do it.

In a work context if he asks once it's not, but if you say no and he keeps asking then yes.
