Breastfeeding Struggles

Shelly

My daughter was born at 34w 3D and spent 12 days in the NICU struggling to make it back to birth weight due to endurance issues while feeding (tired quickly) As a result, we fed her breastmilk via bottle and have continued to do so while attempting to inncorporate more breastfeeding. She still tires quickly at the breast and is far less efficient, still hungry even after an hour on the breast! I am losing hope since most of the lactation consultants said that she would probably get the hang of it

by her due date which is just a week away. Words of encouragement or preemie success stories welcome, this is so important time, not giving up!
