formula or cows milk?

Am I best to wean my 1 year old onto cows milk or formula?

Your better just going straight to cows milk. Toddler formula is unnecessary. They only make toddler formula as a way to get around the laws in many countries that don't allow advertising/promotion of infant formula. Although they can't directly advertise the infant formula, they can still raise brand awareness and promote formula, by creating and advertising toddler formula.

I’d say neither. After one they don’t “need” milk and honestly I’d never give my baby cows milk. All the hormones and other crap, plus it’s a very inflammatory food.

I usually avoid being controversial but some if these replies are SO crunchy, I just can't.  Cow's milk is recommended with every meal after age 1, it is perfectly healthy. Do not let anyone make you feel bad about giving it to your child. Lastly. I would only recommend starting a Toddler formula unless you have a picky eater. They are pretty expensive and not necessary if your child will eat a balanced diet.

If you’re trying to wean your one year old off of formula or breast milk, it is best to start with low-fat or 1% if you haven’t spoken with the nutritionist or pediatrician yet! 🙂
