Belly band after birth?

My sister in law recommended I get a belly band for after I deliver. Are they safe? Are they worth it? Do they work? What brand have other moms had a good experience with?

I used one and I LOVED IT! 
The thing I loved most was that it made me feel secure after delivery. 
Meaning, if I were to get up and walk around without it I literally felt like my insides were going to fall out of my body. So it helped keep everything more in place in my abdomen. 
I wore mine for about 2 weeks pp day and night (I got the kind that was firm but also soft enough to sleep in comfortably) and I really think this was one thing, along with bfing, that helped me regain some of my figure pp. 
Not saying that was my goal for wearing it because I could’ve cared less, but it was a perk.

I got one from target called the after band. I’ve used it my entire pregnancy and have noticed a difference between the days where I do wear it and ones I don’t. It really helps with stomach support and made my stomach les painful towards the end. I would highly recommend one for after as well but maybe not right away since they are tight and supportive. But in a few weeks after birth
