Is 37 weeks far enough to try to get your own labor started?

These last few weeks are dragging on. I’m so tired and done with being pregnant. Make no mistake I am 100% blessed to have gotten pregnant I’m just saying I want my daughter out! Is 37 weeks far enough to try and get my labor started? Like sex, stimulating nipples, walking a lot etc. or is it still too soon? Thank you! Please no judgement

Oh gosh, I feel you! We just started getting our really hot weather and it is making me freaking miserable! My husband says it's the perfect excuse to have all the sex we can, while we still can, and if it HAPPENS to start labor, even better. 🤣 My doctor has said at 37 weeks they won't stop me if I go into labor, so I won't be sad if it starts but I also know as uncomfortable as I am, the longer baby stays put the more time it has to develop it's lungs. And there's really no making it come before it wants to.

Keep baby as long as possible! I know it’s sucks but they all have their own little plan! No judgement but I’ve never agreed with trying to get em out early.

37 weeks is considered term. Not full term. If you was to go into labor, they wouldn't stop it. Anything that is considered term is good. Start walking! The baby may not come until next week but at least get things started!

You can try all that natural stuff. It may help, but the natural methods usually won’t induce labor until baby is ready. I’ve been having sex and walking the whole pregnancy. I also started primrose oil at 36 weeks per my midwifes advice!

According to ACOG and SMFM, full term is now considered to be 39 weeks, among other reasons because it was proven that the lungs still evolve up to that point. Taking that into consideration, I would wait. Then again, even with those methods, labour won't start unless your baby is ready anyway!
