37 weeks and 2cm and 70%

yesterday I was having contraction 2-3 min apart and lasting a minute or so. I went to bed last night after my doctor called me back and said try and get rest and if they get worse go into the hospital. well it's 8am and I went to the bathroom my underwear had white green boogers in it then when I wiped I had a huge glob on the toilet paper. contractions are not feeling strong but not consistent like yesterday. dose this mean my cervix dilated more? is there a way to check from home so I don't have to drive 45 min for nothing to the hospital?
