Cultural Differences

So I'm Samoan/Fijian and I never really talked to anyone out of my race. until now. I been with my boyfriend for 1 year now and hes White. He treats me way better than any guy and the happiest I been. but it seems people just see him as a "white guy". he loves the culture and always wants to learn. but I know that every time I bring him around people are either shocked or I hear them call him a wanna be. It makes him feel unwanted and out of place. but he grew up Samoans so he knows how things work. everytime I bring him to family it's like he ha

s to fight for his life to prove himself I dont knkw what to do. I want him to feel comfortable and know that hes good enough for me. I just cant find the right words to make him feel better. HELP ! I love this guy and I wanna make sure that hes happy with me and is comfortable and not insecure when I bring him around my family. what should I say ?
