Baby climbing out of crib?!?

Ok so my son turned 1 July 6th. Now I feel crazy for saying this but he has started to try and climb out of his crib and in his crib when he’s tired... when or what age should I transition him to a toddler bed? I feel like he just turned 1 it’s was to early for that.... ANY ADVICE!!!!!!!???? Please

I had twins my first time around and my daughter had long legs and got over her crib shortly after 1 yr. she did fall out and my husband tried to catch her when he turned around and saw her but just barely missed and she hit the floor. She was scared but ok. I was able to lower the crib and keep them in and don’t transition them until 2. Mainly bc there were two of them and only one of me lol!! Now they are 12 and my youngest will be one tomorrow, she hasn’t tried to eat out yet but I know it’s coming. I am hoping to be able to transition her in the next couple months by putting a toddler bed in her room with her crib and do naps during the day in the toddler bed and the crib at night. I will need the crib in December as I am due the 26th with number 4. She really needs to be able to sleep in a toddler bed by then bc it doesn’t make sense to buy another crib. My husband will be building her a Montessori toddler bed in the next month or so for safety.

mine doesnt try to crawl out yet but she does try to crawl in when shes sleepy. I think as soon as she tries to climb out I will transition it to a toddler bed because I think I would rather her learn to get in and out on her own than her climb over the top and fall out

We switched our son to a toddler bed as soon as he could walk because he would get his arms and legs stuck in the rails and it would leave marks on him! He has done great! He only rolled off 1 time and it didn’t hurt him one bit!
