How do/did you deal with adjusting to new birth control?

Doctor gave a 3 month period of time for my body to adjust to the hormones of my birth control (nuvaring). I’m feeling intensely horrible emotionally rn bc of it and it's month two. So I just would like to hear how you have dealt with the new hormones for any type of BC? Anything that you would tell yourself?

Been through it twice, first with the pill (that was a decade ago...I can't remember anything other than my bitch of a mother trying to force me to change my prescription) and now with the implant.
My adjustment to the implant was awful. My breasts were very sore to the touch, my moods were out of control, my acne flared up for the first time since I'd started birth control, I lost weight and couldn't gain it back for weeks...but I knew it was all most likely temporary. So mostly I waited it out, bitched a ton about it to friends and my boyfriend, and tried not to be a total bitch until my hormones stabilized again. Now I occasionally have breast tenderness (no discernible pattern yet) and my acne is still worse than it used to be, and I definitely have irregular bleeding which is very common, but it's all nowhere near what it was when I was adjusting.

I had horrible stomach aches, my sex drive went down, my cramps worsened, and my period went from 7 days to about 2 weeks. :/ 
It all became so much I just stopped taking them.

tbh i hated birth control the depo shot and the pill.
