How early did you start your registry? Also would love to hear thoughts on different experiences with registries like Amazon, baby list, buy buy baby, etc...thanks lovely mamas. So appreciative of the amazing advice I’ve gotten on this platform 🙏🏽💕🤰🏽

I started mine way early because I researched the crap out of everything, however I didnt tell people about it until my shower invites went out. I got probably half of what I registered for, mostly the big stuff too.

I’m only doing amazon this time and it’s more like a list for myself. I love amazon and it ships right to me and that’s perfect for me! When I had a shower I returned the stuff I didn’t want and got stuff that I did want instead!

I don't start mine until the baby is viable. I always do Target bc you have a year to make returns, I also did one with bed bath and beyond because they had the double stroller I wanted in the color I wanted, I also did an Amazon bc I wanted the box but found out you have to do a lot to get it. And baby list you have to pay for shipping on the baby box

I used my registry as the basis for much of my research for how we wanted to care for the baby, so I started early (around 12/13 weeks). I would focus on a category of items and do lots of research using Lucie’s List and some other sites, and then put an item on my registry. Because I took a more methodical approach, I’m really glad I started when I did! I’m feeling fairly confident in what I put on there, and it’s fairly comprehensive (which means anything we don’t get at our shower we can purchase with our completion discount and be really set for when baby comes).

I basically used my registry as a check list for myself. I made mine at 14 weeks, I had genetics testing at 10 weeks so I knew the gender already. I bought most of what I really wanted and thought I needed. Then left the rest for my shower, but only 3 things ended up being bought off of it for my shower and it was all purchased by the same person so it still ended up being pointless for my experience. I registered at Target and also Babylist. Both registries I received a welcome kit that came with free samples. For Target I received a 15% off coupon for stuff left on my registry for after my shower.

I started mine around 30 weeks, my shower was at 34 weeks. Honestly no one bought anything from my registry! And I was shocked because my family and friends know how picky I am! I am still grateful for everything we got. If you do a registry with Target, you can go to guest services and they give you a pretty awesome welcome bag! Babylist sends you a welcome baby box as well and you can add from different stores, so it's neat to have it all on one registry. If you have Amazon Prime after you make your register and spend I believe $10 they send you a welcome box as well.
