Meeting the Parents!!!

Okay, so my boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year. His parents are from New England, and my boyfriend and I are both in the Midwest for school. So I haven't been able to meet the parents yet. BUT, his mom is coming in a couple of weeks to help him move apartments. He is my first boyfriend and so I have never "met the parents" before. I want to get his mom a nice gift when meeting her. It has to be something that she can easily take back on the plane. Any ideas would really help me out a lot! TIA
