When is the right time for marriage? My partner and I have been together for ~2 years. We have a strong, stable, deeply committed relationship. I want to build a life with him, to plan a future around us being a constant fixture. But...he’s had some trouble with marriage (a broken engagement in his very early 20s) and he’s scared that marriage is an “artificial commitment.” I’m not sure how to navigate this. I know what I want - to marry him. But what if that’s never what he wants? Thanks!
