Ovulation test detect pregnancy?

I have heard that ovulation test are capable of detecting early pregnancy. I’m not sure how true this is but since I am in my TWW I figured I’d get your one opinions on this topic . Has this been proven by any of you ladies ?

It does show up positive if pregnant but also can get a positive before your period so it’s a bit useless!

I've heard you get a lh surge before your period so its not really accurate
