I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and recently applied for fmla intermittent leave for appointments and because I’m having morning sickness and migraines. I’m new to my doctors office because My regular doctor takes patients up to 28 weeks, so I’m not to familiar with this new doctor. I had my appt today & they filled the leave papers out wrong as if they were for my std. I let them know that it was done wrong & they were saying they can’t give me days off for pregnancy sickness unless the doctor states it

Because of laws and bc it’s “normal”. I was barely able to speak to the doctor she came in and left abruptly, however whenever I see one of the doctors I do mention my morning sickness and migraines. Of course the staff in the front does the paper work so they spoke with me and let me know that they would redo the paperwork but it wouldn’t be possible to speak with the doctor over the phone. It was all and all a shitty experience and I wish I could change doctors but it’s too late. Has anyone else had an issue with attempting to receive shorter days/ work less hours due to appts and sickness caused by pregnancy?
