Can fleas on my pet cause my baby harm?

I got a new kitten yestersay and turns out she has fleas! 😫 I have given her 2 baths already but keep finding them. She's goes to the vet Thursday but I'm worried  about diseases spreading? anyone have any experience dealing with this?

And try a bath with dawn dish soap I did with my kitten when I first got her and they literally fell off. It’s gentle enough it won’t harm the kitten just make sure to rinse her off and dry her well cause she will lick her fur after.

I’m not sure if you’re pregnant or if the baby is here. Baby should be fine either way but I would keep them separated until seeing the vet. I think the worst that could happen is flea bites. However you need to make sure the cat has all of its vaccines. Fleas typically stay on the animal but you need to vacuum your carpets everyday and clean any blankets the cat has been on. Flea larvae and eggs can fall off the cat and hatch which will make it hard for you to get rid of them. Vacuum vacuum vacuum then empty it. Don’t leave it in there

I don’t know if they can do serious harm to the baby but it obviously advisable to keep the cat quarantined until you get her treatment, as fleas live and thrive of many materials and they’re hell to get out. My mom got a puppy and he had fleas, fleas can’t swim, so she put the dog in a bath of water with oils fleas hate(cant remember which ones) and the fleas climbed to the dogs head. She literally picked them off with tweezers one by one took, her hours but she has two cats so she wanted to stop it before they spread. By the time she got to the vet they said the dog was now flea free but still gave her treatments just in case any eggs were gonna hatch. We had anti flea sprays for materials and sprayed every room the dog had been in. And she didn’t get any other outbreak. Obviously cats hate water but just wanted to share what she did hoping it helps you. She kept her dog in a cage at night and outside during the day until the vet appointment once she realized he had fleas.

If you have the creepy crawlies now, go to Petsmart and get Advantage II for cats for her weight. Put it on the back of her neck. It kills fleas, larvae and eggs.

Do a couple dawn soap baths, lather the kitten in the soap and let them soak for a few minutes! Kills the feas on contact. Get some borax laundry detergent powder and sprinkle it on any carpet and it will kill the fleas living in there in contact & you can just vacuum it up. When me & my husband lived in an apartment our two cats would get fleas about twice a year & this always got rid of them quickly, thankfully now that we’re in our own home we don’t have that issue anymore 🙂 you baby should be okay but definitely start flea cleaning
