When should I make a general doc appt postpartum?

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and haven’t seen a general doctor in about 2 years because I’ve been seeing my OB. My other son is 1 and after I had him I didn’t see a general doc because I wasn’t sick. But now that I just had my other baby, I’m wondering if I need to make a general check up appt or if I can skip it for a while since I had been seeing my OB regularly and she had done blood work etc.

I don’t see a general doc unless I’m sick. 🤷‍♀️ it is good to have a check up and blood work, but like you said you were just put through the medical wringer with pregnancy so I’d wait until a year after I had my baby.

Most insurance covers an annual physical. Not a bad idea to have one once a year. Otherwise, I don’t see a need.
