Brushing teeth?

Question

How old should I start brushing my baby/ kids teeth? When they start growing teeth? Or when they start eating baby food? I feel like I should be protecting there gums too with them eating the food you know? But I’m afraid that they won’t spit it out, or is there a certain kind? Let me know what you think! ❤️ don’t worry just a question for when my baby is born.

There are baby finger tooth brushes it’s made out of rubber so it doesn’t hurt and when the baby is older there is baby toothbrushes for 6-12 month olds that have very soft bristles

Alittle before 2 years old. He fully got all his teeth and to help get him prepared for his first dentist visit.

I started brushing my son’s  teeth as soon as he got his first two teeth at 7 months and he had his first dentist appointment at 1, that went ok then on his second birthday he had another that went really well, so he turned 3 July 5 had another appointment disaster, bawled the whole time. Anyway I used the baby tooth paste  it comes with the Elmo tooth brush before he was one And after one used the Toms Fluoride free paste, it works well

Baby and toddler training toothpaste is great because it isn't harmful if swallowed. Brushing their gums and teeth as they come in is a really good habit to start. The have these little finger covers you can use with rubber bristles on the end, so you just put it on your finger and then stick your finger in baby's mouth to clean it. It's easier than trying to stick a toothbrush in there!

they make toothpaste for children. I started my son when he sprouted teeth at 7 months. others will say before (I started him on food at 6 months) he is now 20months with 16 teeth and he brushes them on his own. with a little help from mom!

When my son got teeth and began eating more regular food, I started brushing his teeth. they have baby safe toothpaste. :)

I’ve always been told that you should start brushing with a soft brush and only water ASAP (from day 1 if possible). Once teeth start erupting, start using children’s toothpaste. It’s nontoxic and can be safely swallowed.
