period came early

So yesterday I was out with my kids doing some grocery shopping when I felt little cramps not bad so I went to the restroom wiped and there was blood but light light pink. I guess I caught it early before it got heavy so I put on a bad and went on with the day. An hour later I went to the bathroom again and my pad only had a penny sized drop of light pink blood I wiped again it's still super light. I changed my pad anyways I went out again because my kids had an appt and I had so much to do I checked again in 3 hrs and on my new pad another penny sized but this time super super light brown. I showered went to bed woke up in about 6 hrs and again the same penny size. This has never happened to me. My period came 4 days early which is normal for me. But I have no cramps my breast don't hurt has anyone else went thru this?
