Is this going to go away?

So how long does it take for my soar nipple pain to go away? It started hurting around day 5 and the minute I latch her my leg jolts on pain? Will my nipples eventually get used to this excruciating pain? I kinda feel like she has a shallow latch as well?

I was very uncomfortable the first 7 days. They are crucial for your milk supply. It will go away soon.

place a hot rag on/ massage them before u feed
use ice/massage after feeding
use nipple cream after that
these helped me, also massaging them while u shower. ive heard nipple shields work well if nothing else helps pain but i didnt need them so i cant say.

I went through this too. It’s awful but rest assured it does go away! I want to say within 2-3 weeks I was pain free. Hang in there mama and use nipple butter/cream.. it helps!

My daughter is 13 days old. For the first 7 days, my nipples were super sore and had scabs on them from the friction she created with sucking. Now at day 13, the scabs are gone, and I still
Have some initial pain when she first latches, but it goes away within in 30 seconds to a minute of latching. She doesn’t always latch well, so I will break the suction and start over to make sure she has a good latch. It’s a process, and it does get better. Nipple cream and warm showers helped tremendously with the soreness.
