1 month as a vegan and still getting upset tummy

I've been vegan 6 weeks and I cut dairy out 4 months ago. I don't eat soya because I have an allergy to it.

I have started getting very bad gas since quitting meat and a dodgy tummy maybe once or twice a week. I'm reasonably healthy - could definitely improve, I could do with eating more fruit but it keeps going off in the heat so I've not been buying as much. I don't always eat enough food either but it's cos I have a young baby and she's very demanding. I'm so tired all the time.

I was wondering if it could be extra carbohydrates/grains/pulses causing it?

Someone said I should cut back instead of going cold turkey but I can't bring myself to bring any animal products back into my diet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I usually have toast for lunch and a dairy free yogurt (no breakfast)

fruit and biscuits as a snack if hungry

then dinner I have things like chilli, fajitas, paella, burrito, spaghetti, curry

but sometimes if I had no sleep and it's too hot because of the heatwave I just have chips and veggie nuggets +veg or a pasty :(

I am trying hard to be healthy but I'm not a good cook (too ditzy)
