Halo sleep sack too hot?

We are trying to transition our 3 1/2 month old to her crib and she does ok for half the night then the second half she starts jolting herself awake. She has always hated being swaddled but she loves blankets. We live in Los Angeles and going through a heat wave and we don’t have central air, plus she is really hot blooded as it is. I saw Nordstrom has some of the halo sacks on sale, but I’m worried she will get too hot in it. It is the Muslin one, and I’m thinking I can just stick her in with just a diaper. Thoughts?

If going through a heat wave and shes waking half way through the night it sounds like shes just getting too hot and uncomfortable so id be inclined to put her to bed in a romper only flthen use the muslin sack when the heat waves over. Its not safe for them to get too hot.

Maybe try “woolino” it’s a sleep sack but self regulates baby’s temperature. It can be used in both hot and cold temps and it actually lasts baby until 2 years of age. The price up front is costly, however when you add in the fact of how much it is to buy baby a new sleep sack every so often it makes sense to shell out the money bc it’s lasting you for two years. I just bought one for my son and so far he seems to love it.

I used the baby Merlin’s magic sleep suit and it really helps! My LO was pretty small so she didn’t fit in it until she was 4 months, but at 7 months she still uses it and she sleeps so well in it!

We live in San Diego and don’t have central ac either. I got two different kinds of muslin sleep sacks off Amazon that have been working well. One was Hudson Baby and one was SwaddleDesigns. They were around $10-15 each. The SwaddleDesigns one is just one layer of muslin and we’ve just been using that lately - baby just in a diaper underneath. 
We had been keeping our baby in just a diaper a lot of the time during the past few weeks since it’s been so hot. Yesterday I learned why that’s a bad idea. While he was in his pack n play while I was pumping, I could hear him playing just fine. But I didn’t see him when he took off his diaper and then pooped. It was awful!!!

We use these and we love them!  The muslin ones are very lightweight and breathable.  My son is a year old, he has AC in his room but it’s still usually 75 degrees and humid, we put him in a snap up romper and one of these and he’s good to go.
