If your boyfriend even made the suggestion to hang out with his friend on your birthday would u be pissed?

I ask because mine suggested to hang out with his friend o my birthday. He immediately apologized and said he regretted saying that but he never should have even said that to me in the first place. Piece of 💩

He's not a piece of shit for suggesting that geez. Most likely why he suggested it is because generally your significant other's friends are supposed to be your friends too. I'm great friends with my SO's friends and I wouldn't mind if he suggested that. You could have just politely suggested that maybe his friends and your friends can get together for your birthday and you all can have one big bash. But it stays your decision xx

Oh, not you together. I misunderstood. Still...there’s no thank you or compromising. Birthdays are really important to me but it was a suggestion, and no one said everything had to exactly happen on the day.

Nope. He hung out with his friends on my 21st. I was pregnant and just felt like shit all around and wanted to sleep. So I actually suggested he go over to a friends for a few hours and I just took a bath and relaxed. 
Birthdays aren’t that big of a deal to us, it’s just another day. 
We don’t really do much for our anniversaries either. 
For prom we stayed home, at pizza and played the wii with my family.
For my graduation, we again just stayed home and hung out.
Valentine’s Day is the same thing. 
You can always just say “No, id like to spend my birthday with you”. Im sure he would understand. He’s not a piece of shit for asking. Maybe he thinks your birthday isn’t a big deal to you. If you’ve been downplaying it then maybe he figured you wanted to act like it was just another day.
