I have had a sore on my mouth for a couple days and my first assumption was that it was a cold sore as before it formed my lip was tingling and a bit swollen

So I’ve been very careful

Not kissing my boyfriend and not sharing drinks or lip ice

But it been about 6 days and there hasn’t been any crusting or any rupture as a cold sore supposedly would so now I’m starting to think it is just a canker sore (ulcer) as it’s more on the inner part of my lip

Can someone help me identify what it is and how to get rid of it?
