Possible UTI?

Question

So this may sound stupid, but I’ve never had a UTI before. How do you know you have a UTI, and what is the fastest way to treat it? I’ve been researching and seeing the common symptoms, but mine seem to only happen at night. Is that normal?

Going to the doctor for antibiotics. 
Drink cranberry juice with NO sugar to help with the pain. Take ibuprofen too. 
It feels like razor blades coming through your urethra and a constant feeling of needing to pee. Don’t hold your urine, keep passing it as often as possible to help clear your system. Drink a ton of water too. 
Go to the doctor though because it can easily turn into a kidney infection.

Uti’s include burning when you pee, itchiness, wanting to pee but can’t ALL THE TIME, and a red, swollen vagina
