Do you wash your Vagina with or without soap?

So me and my aunt recently had a conversation about our vaginas just not being the same after childbirth. We both use daily panty liners to feel clean and dry, etc.
Well she told me her gyno told her you aren't supposed to wash your vagina with soap. I am starting to think this is why my PH is unbalanced and off. (Ive had re-accuring yeast infections since pregnant w/ my 1st daughter and shes now 2 years old) Ive been desperate to make some type of change that I am not already doing.
I've had most of them tested and they are all just normal yeast growth. Not sure if this has anything to do with the soap (Dove Sensitive) but my Gyno has NEVER told me this or mentioned it.....

Anyways, I am going to try without showering without using soap to wash inside my vagina. (Lips, etc) and see if it makes a difference. I just wanted to hear from other women and what they do or have ran into.
Yes,  I do the whole cotton underwear, change them more than once a day. do not allow myself to stay damp/moist in the area, air dry after showering, shower everyday, and don't sleep with underwear.

Personally I’ve never had a yeast infection (32 year old, knock on wood I never get one) I never wash the inside of my vagina, you aren’t supposed to. It cleans itself. I do wash the outside bits with a mild soap.

you are never supposed to wash the inside of your vagina. your vagina is self cleaning and will balance itself out. you can use soap on the outside which is actually called your vulva (this is your mons pubis, clit, and inner & outer labia) but not your vagina (the hole/ vaginal canal). but you shouldnt use soap everytime, maybe like once or twice a week.

Try ironing your panties - yeast is not necessarily killed during washing /drying of laundry, but if you iron on hot, it will be. 
I use mild soap on my outer labia, water only on inner labia / clit / etc, and nothing at all in my vagina.

Most people call the entire thing their vagina, so yes, I wash it with soap. Just the outer parts. Never insert soap inside of you.

Yes, vaginas are self-cleaning, but everyone's body is different. Obviously, no one shoves a soapy rag up their vagina hole.. That's common sense. But I've ALWAYS washed with soap and water (around the outside, including the lips), and my vagina is just fine and always has been. But your PH levels are different than mine, so you may not be able to use soap. You just got to find what works for your body!

It's true. I learned this a couple years ago. Vaginas are self cleaning and water does the trick. There are soap free products you can use for down below if you really feel the need. Also if you have a partner that uses soap to wash his penis, then this could cause your yeast infections too. Some doctors will advise you to give him some of the prescribed cream to cure it, or it might just keep coming back.

I've never had a yeast infection (once I thought I did but it was just hormones from being pregnant) I wash outside my vagina with soap, and the inside I don't mess with. I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant!

I use V-Wash from target to wash down there. To me water doesn’t get rid of the sweaty vagina smell so it’s a must. I don’t put the soap in my vagina I just wash everything around it. Also my OB said wearing panty liners can cause infections because they don’t breathe like your undies do. It holds all that discharge close to your vajayjay ..

My cousin has to use water only or she will get an jnfection. Some people have sensitive parts 🤷‍♀️
