How much were you told you could lift/carry?

In a healthy pregnancy? 
My Dr told me at one of my early appointments 40lbs.. but everything I’ve read or heard is 20lbs
Does weight limit change further in pregnancy and maybe he forgot to mention?
Just curious what your Drs have told you?

I was never told a weight limit and was pumping iron until the day before labor with my first. Depends on what your body is already used to

I just quickly lift whatever it is and if it’s a struggle then I know not to carry it. Really it’s all down to what your body’s used to. I’m a waitress and put chairs on tables I’ve been fine

As long as your aren’t high risk or carrying heavy things against your belly, there really is no weight limit. Some girls weight lift their entire pregnancy.

My first pregnancy I wasnt given a weight limit. They just told me to stick to what I did pre pregnancy. I'm a CNA so I lift people and push/pull heavy things all day. This pregnancy my doctor told me not to lift more then 15 lbs and I actually laughed and told her that wasnt possible (between work and my son). My son weighs double that and there's no way I'm not picking him up for 9 months.

My doctor told me I could lift 40-50 pounds throughout my entire pregnancy. I kept asking her because my job involves heavy lifting. She said that as long as it’s not making me uncomfortable/hurt when I lift that much then I was fine!

I mean moms with other kids have to lift them - I toted a toddler around my whole second pregnancy. I moved furniture both pregnancies.
