Family will always be Family?

My sister and I havent spoken for over 3 years now. We have always had a rocky relationship and things hit the fan 3 years ago. Holidays have been divided like a divorced family. My brother and dad rather not see her but will if thay have to. What are your thoughts. Just because were family does that mean we have to see eachother or even speak?

You dont owe anybody anything. If uou dont want to speak to someone, dont. If uou dont want to see them, dont.

I don’t know the situation, and am sure when this happens people have their reasons... all I have to say is that I am very sorry for people who are estranged from any of their family.
If it is something petty I would hope people would try to move past it and try harder with family then they might with anyone else. If it is something very toxic then I imagine the distance is out of self preservation and better for everyone involved

My sister and I don’t really have a good relationship either🤷🏻‍♀️ I say do you as long as you feel you’ve done your part in trying to have a relationship whatever the situation may be. Good luck❤️
