Sex After Birth

So it’s been a month and a few days since I’ve had my baby. My boyfriend and I haven’t had sex yet because I got a 2nd degree tear down there from birth. Well like I said, it’s been a month and I’m not in pain anymore, not sore, and the other day I got a mirror and looked down there to see if I can see any stitches, and I didn’t. And to be honest I have been in the mood like crazy and I know my boyfriend has been to. So I am wondering if I should just go ahead and have sex or should I wait for the all clear with my Dr. ?? My appointment is August 6th.
