I'm not sure whether I should keep my baby awake while she's eating if she's getting enough food. what do you think?

I always felt it was fine up until a certain point. When my “infant” turned into a “baby” I stared to stop letting him fall asleep on me and slowly trained him to start doing it on his own. First by not letting him nurse until he fell asleep, using a pacifier (he would be done eating) getting him drowsy and putting him in his bassinet way hen crib when he was older. It worked for us— we wanted to instill in both our children the ability to fall asleep independently in their own safe space. I loved the snuggles and the feeding but I didn’t want it to become a necessary habit he needed as he got older. I think it’s fine— even necessary— to a certain point. Especially if you don’t use pacifiers and you are your baby’s safe place. Ultimately you will have to do what makes you and your baby feel best. If it is traumatizing to both of you then just go back to the drawing board and re-work the plan... best of luck.

Depends on how old. If she’s a newborn or a few weeks old, you need to keep her awake by stimulating her while feeding.
