bridesmaids for my wedding?

do you have to have bridesmaids? me and my fiancé want to get married next year and I really have no girl friends. I have a sister and I don’t trust her and she is a toxic person so I don’t want her in my wedding. not even sure I want to invite her.
is that required? he has groomsmen or at least his brother so Idk if that would be weird for me to not have a maid of honor or any of that but I really have no one.

It’s not required but if he has a best man you might want someone on your side. It doesn’t have to be female either, my brother was my “man of honor”
A lot of times they need to witnesses to sign (typically the best man and maid of honor) so check with your officiant about that.

I didn’t have one. We planned our wedding in two weeks and had about 100 guests close friends and family. It still turned out nice and didn’t have the extra drama or worrying about bridesmaids dresses/hair and groomsmen tuxes and other people’s schedules, etc. I’m glad it wasn’t dragged out any longer than we did.

you dont have to have bridesmaids however, if his brother is going to be a groomsman maybe your fiance has a sister or close female cousin that can be a bridesmaod so the groomsman isnt alone..?

It’s not required. Specially if you’re not comfortable with naming anyone your bridesmaid.
