Accidental home birth?

Has anyone ever accidentally had a home birth??

According to the nurses, I almost did. I was 8 cm dialated when I got to the hospital (after 6 hours of excruciating pain). I was hesitant to go because I didn't want to get there and have them tell me that the pain was just ligament or braxton hicks or whatever- after all, I was only 29 weeks. From this I learned "If it hurts, say something, don't be afraid to go to the hospital and make sure it's not something big." My little girl is healthy and strong, being a little rockstar in the NICU

A girl I went to high school with did. It was her second baby and she sent her husband to drop off her oldest at his parents so they could go to the hospital. By the time he got back she was in full blown labor, they called 911 and about 15 minutes later she had the baby at home. We live in a small town and she made the news 😂

Massive fear of mine. For both of my kids they came early and I didn’t feel any contractions. Thankfully I started bleeding with one and my water broke with the other. But within 2 hours of getting to the hospital I was at 10 cm. Zero pain.

Almost did. I felt her head coming out while I was getting into the bath. Was the longest car ride to the hospital trying to keep her in. She was born within 20mins of being at the hospital

My best friend just did a couple months ago. Went to the hospital, they told her to go home, and she had the baby a few hours later at home. They only lived 5 minutes from hospital but it happened so fast she didn’t make it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Nope that and a car birth is a big fear of mine. Especially with this kid.

Not me, but a friend of mine and his wife had their son in the car on the side of the expressway.

My sil did. 2/3 days before her induction, had the baby in the kitchen. They live way out of town so happened before the ambulance could arrive
