First night without a pacifier was a success!
We’ve been talking about dropping the pacifier for a while now, but between his two year old molars coming in and his baby sister due any day we thought about waiting so we didn’t shock him with all of the changes or risk messing up his sleep right before our newborn gets here.
Well yesterday he chewed on it which caused the nipple piece to start to fall of so he pulled it off and showed me. He then took it to the garbage and threw it away after I told him it was broken!
So bedtime rolls around and he keeps asking for it and looking for it so his dad and I sit him down and explain to him that it broke and he threw it away earlier that day. He even went to check the garbage, asked for a hug then went off to bed.
We were SHOCKED! He laid down and went to sleep no problem after we talked to him. I’m really hoping tonight will go as smoothly and that we’re able to kick the habit this easily!
