"Why does your sexuality matter?" Dilemma

My family are frustrating me a lot. Long story short, my friends have all known I'm bi since I was 15 but it wasn't until I was much older that I convinced my parents I was serious coming out to them. Now even though they and my sister know, my extended family don't and I keep getting told "you don't have to tell them, you're not dating so it doesn't matter."
Easy for them to say when they're straight. 
I guess my question is, should I keep the peace and say nothing, or come out to everyone and risk upsetting some of them? I'm torn between the part of me that just wants to be a good daughter and the part that feels like I'm living a lie.

honestly I don't think it's something you'd have to, or should feel pressured into telling them or hiding from them. when you getta girlfriend, or boyfriend, they'll know 🤷

What's your motivation for telling anybody? Who cares, ya know? It doesn't effect anybody in the current moment. By being so determined to make an event out of it you're perpetuating the idea that people even should have to "come out". If you were straight you wouldn't announce it until you brought home a guy so why should it be any different. You don't need to feel like you're hiding some dirty secret from anybody.. if someone asks tell them, if you have a gf share that, post pics of your wcw or whatever but don't go out of your way.
