What is this!?

My 3yo complained of a sore butt yesterday and I put cream in the crack. Didn’t notice this rash before. This morning she said again my butt hurts so I went to put cream on it and she had this large rash.. it’s more red right now cause I had her soak in the bathtub. This morning I put aquaphor in it.. any ideas? Maybe from wet pull-up? She typically doesn’t wet them anymore, but every now and again.

my daughter gets this ALOT exactly the same! its a funal rash we use lotrimin AF of the generic brand clears it right up!

If might be yeast if it is not an allergic reaction.

Allergic reaction to something.. Maybe new soap, laundry detergent/softener/dryer sheets, the cream you used, lotion, new type of pull-up.. anyways you should definitely give them some children’s Benadryl.

It's possible she developed an allergic reaction to something she was not allergic to before. When my son was 6 months old, he randomly got a similar looking rash on his privates that lasted 6 weeks. It was the one and only diaper rash he ever had and after trying EVERYTHING, I finally figured out that he had randomly developed an allergy to disposable diapers.
