Ways to get baby to sleep in swing???

Hey all so my daughter is a week old. She has her days and nights mixed up so she’ll sleep all day easily in her swing but when it comes to bedtime we’ll bring the swing in our room and she just wakes up 5 minutes after every time I get her to fall asleep and starts crying until I pick her up and she just passed right out. I don’t know what to do or how to break her from this. Iv gone and let her cry for 10 minutes to see if she’ll stop and fall back asleep but she doesn’t. Is there anyway or any methods you have to get her to sleep in the swing at night? Same thing happens when we use our bassinet during the night.

She shouldn't be sleeping on a swing. She needs to sleep on a flat and safe surface.

When she sleeps during the day keep the house pretty noisy, dont tip toe around just do your thing. Eventually she will get the hang of it shes still fresh.

She’s only a week old this is pretty normal behavior. I would just do you best to rest as much as you can during the day and she will eventually figure things out and sleep a little more at night.

Our LO is four weeks now. She will scream and cry on and off all night when with us. With my mom? She sleeps through the night. My mom says she plays and exercises her during the day and then she sleeps 3-4 hours at night - sometimes even 5 if she ate enough. She also claims a bath might help soothe them if they like that. Our LO hates swaddles and it depends on her mood whether she wants her Bright Stars chair thing or the flat surface of the crib/pack n play. She does usually lay on a flat surface at least half the day of laying though. She also likes being held. Sometimes I need to cuddle her to sleep and then move her.

Does she have reflux? If she hates being flat I would explore that first (if you haven’t already)

Have you tried to swaddle her in the bassinet?

But I’d definitely try swaddling. It helped out little girl out so much. Sleeping through the night at 6 Weeks Old like a pro. We haven’t had issues with her sleeping since then and she’s 5 Months Old now
