Who else here is a koda/coda?

A koda/coda is kids of deaf adults/ children of deaf adults. Both of my parents are deaf and i am fluent in ASL.

My dad is deaf but my mom isn’t. I barely even know my dad though. I know some ASL but I really need to work on it.

I've been trying to learn ASL for at least 3 years now, I can't find anyone who teaches so I've been teaching myself. I have been learning from songs. I have some friends who are also learning so we teach each other and we talk to each other using it. I'm not very good or confident when around people who are fluent in it because I get nervous that I'm going to say the wrong things.
