Crush problem

I know no one will read this but I’ll try. So today I found out that my crush is going to be leaving school at the end of next year to do a trade and I’m devastated. I’ve liked this guy for 7 years all ready (I know I’m insane and attached) and I’ve never been able to ask him out because I’m extremely shy. I don’t want him thinking I’m a weirdo. I was thinking that a couple of weeks before he leaves next year I could confess because I wouldn’t see him again and I might regret it when I’m older but also if he feels the same way we wouldn’t be able to have a relationship or anything. I don’t know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?
