C-Section @37 Weeks??

So I had my first sit down with my OB today, I’m just past 9 weeks and everything with baby is great! We discussed how because I had to have an abdominal myomectomy to remove a large Fibroid we may have to do the C-Section at 37 weeks. I’ve already prepared myself for c-section since I had the surgery, but I expected it could be done a bit later. Any ladies out there have similar experiences with a C-section that early?

I had high blood pressure with my first pregnancy and I had a c section at 39 weeks. I'm pregnant again, high blood pressure is back and my OB told me I'll be getting a c section 35-36 weeks this time. I forgot to ask why so early but 37 is considered full term but maybe you can ask to move it up an extra week or something unless it's medically necessary to have baby out at 37 weeks

I had my last csection at 37 wks. You are technically full term at 36 wks so baby will be fine.

I had a scheduled C at 36+2. I had a ruptured ectopic 2 years before and had to have part of my uterus removed during the surgery. Due to the potential of uterine rupture if I were to go full term or go into labor my OB along with a maternal fetal medicine consult decided on 36 weeks. 
My son ended up being 7lbs 9oz and had no issues. he did have to have someone from the NICU in the room during the C-Section to assess him and needed to do a car seat test before we could be discharged. At least at my hospital those were protocol for baby’s born under 37 weeks. At 37 weeks, they will more than likely consider you full term and unless there is something wrong, I would assume they would treat it as a normal birth.

Is there a reason he said 37 weeks? Usually they wait til 39. Is the fibroid causing danger to the baby or even a possibility? I'm not too familiar on fibroids.

Also I have some advice.
I've packs are good for coughing sitting standing and walking. Being up and walking assail is necessary for fast healing make sure you push yourself to do it often. Also some women swear by  belly bands!
