Does skipping a meal hurt the baby?

Question

I just started having nausea and this morning I couldn’t eat because I wasn’t feeling it. Now I’m at work at I can’t eat til my lunch break in a couple of hours. Will it hurt the baby if I’m starving for a few more hours? Sorry if it sounds stupid I’m a first time mom and I’m not out of the first trimester.

The baby will take what it needs from your body's nutrients if you don't eat. You are the one who will suffer from not eating. Baby will be fine. My doctor said it's normal in the first trimester to have no appetite. I've lost 10 lbs from my lack of appetite and he said it will catch back up in the next trimester. But I've found that snacking really helps the nausea. I keep the individual packs of Ritz crackers on my side table to nibble on before i get up in the morning.
